Thanks, Mr DV. :thumbs-up: These are my size and I'll probably end up adding them to the rotation. I'm contemplating adding a crepe sole or vibram to make them AllWeather Walkers like. Suggestions welcome on that front.

It worked for some of the previous promos.
JCrew has been very careful with their promo codes for a while now. Last summer I was able to use the 25% off (likely due to the error on the JCrew's side) and the additional 15% teachers' discount, but since then JCrew has been very meticulous in excluding Aldens from all promotions.

The last promo code that I used was declined by the website, but I did manage to connect with a stylist willing to apply it to my order after I mentioned that others in this forum were able to avail themselves of the discount.

I was recently a beneficiary of a 20% off code that slipped through the cracks, and then an additional 20% off when the shoes arrived in not-quite-new condition. Seems like the codes that apply to JC card members have recently worked on Aldens.

Same here. Got 20% promo discount applied while on the phone with SA.

Gents,

I wear US 9D in the 341-last Crockett & Jones for Peal & Co shoes, an 8.5E in the Allen Edmonds 5-65 last and 9D in the AE 1-last and EU42 on the Edetal Last.
Do you think a US 9D in the Plaza last would fit me well?

Thank you.

I use that spray all the time with no ill effect. the suede darkens slightly when i first apply but returns not its original color within a few minutes of drying

Basically any suede will look darker immediately after using suede spray - my experience is that the darkness wears out, but the waterproofing remains
