What are the rules for wearing sweaters with suits?

1. Thin, fine materials. Nothing bulky.
2. Solid colors.
3. V-necks only (to frame the tie).
4. Sweater goes over the shirt but under the jacket.

Did I miss any?

It is fairly idiot proof. Most of the rules I am sure come down to personal preference. Kind of like my personal preference for not wearing sweaters with a suit.
