Mercer and Sons has a custom tailoring option; you can have them make you a shirt with the body of a smaller collar size (up to 2 collar sizes, I believe), and then add a 2 or 4 inch slim taper. In this shirt, I asked for a 15.5 collar with the body of a 14.5, and a 2" slim taper. It fits pretty good, though for next orders I'll ask for a 4" slim taper to get rid of a little extra cloth (I like my shirts slim at the waist).

However, I don't have much of a chest-waist drop, which means for a V-shaped torso there might be still plenty of cloth. Mercers are suppossed to have a baggy fit anyways; if you can live with that, it's well worth it. The shirts are very well made and the collar roll is very nice.

The cream of their crop is suppossed to be the Oxford cloth button downs. I have one in the works. The one I'm wearing is just an ordinary end-on-end, although it certainly feels pretty good, and is looking better with each wash, becoming softer and easier to iron with no piling whatsoever. Only time will tell how it will hold up, but I have high expectations. The stitching is absolutely top-notch; everything is done by machine, but with a very high level of quality and finishing. As good as machine-made can get IMO.

Doing the "security guard" look, with a slight professorial tinge to it.

Blazer, shirt, trousers, tie - BB
PS - Alain Figaret
Shoes - Magnanni for Bergdorf Goodman

Oh yeah, I remember that post by Vox. Those ties are beautiful. I have a couple similar madders, one from Drake's and another from E.G. Cappelli (made with a silk Drakes is using too). I'm hoping to browse through some more when I visit Cappelli in October. Patrizio has added some madders to the website catalog, but I bet he's got more to choose from at his store.
I love madders.

I like this JCMeyer-  Chocosa's too-  keepin it simple.

Wot's goin on wih the tie blade there?

I feel the blade represents the struggle of the proletariat to cast off the shackles of immobility in a capitalistic system and/or I thought it looked kinda cool. Neither may be correct. Thanks for the shout out and the thumbs - really like the tie in your last fit!

DC - great square.

EFV, well done - and you keep your lawn so well manicured ;)

And now to go to work way too early to meet the new CEO. What to wear...
