I've been listening to rumba flamenco/acid jazz/salsa all day due to the weather here in NYC. With that outfit, it'd suit you well to do the same..!

hope you guys are getting together and BBQing those two jackets.

The pattern was a little too bland so Ralph decided to put flapped patch pockets on this one to add some "visual interest" I guess :)

Alright guys, I think my first legitimately nice outfit is finally completed. I got my suit back from having a few alterations at Suitsupply, picked up some shoes, and bought a few pocket squares. Let me know what you think!

(excuse the tag still on the shirt, I'm debating whether I like the fit or not)

Suit: Suitsupply Jort
Shirt: Burberry London
PS: Rubinacci
Shoes: Bergdorf Double Monk
Socks: Hugo Boss

It looks good for that unstructured, informal look, but I think the problem is the bow-tie. I think no-tie or more casual tie will be better.

Agreed. The bow tie also draws the eye upward so that the collar gap is more apparent. Going open-collar and open-jacket would make this look 100x better.
EDIT: Christ, 2,000 posts. I need a ******* life.

OP delivers.

Looks pretty good. I'd get cuffs with a much less break. Also, you should wear your pants higher and be sure to check if the waist is too big, which I suspect is true.

Overall pretty good although it seems like the pants don't really fit right. A lot of waviness there. I don't know what's wrong as I'm not a tailor and it's only one picture, but I'd say try on some different cuts and see if others fit better.

edit: looks like yy beat me to it...but in any case I agree with him.

When you're talking about cuffs you mean pant cuffs? I guess if I wear my pants a little higher that should alleviate that problem a bit. The pants are a hint loose, but if I put a belt on (which I wasn't wearing in that shot) they stay right where they should.

Also, any comments on the pocket square? About 10 minutes prior to that picture was literally the first time I'd ever put a pocket square into a coat.

Pants look quite baggy, you would benefit from a slimmer pant.

I took pictures from the back that show the pants are a little tight around my calves (meaning you can see the outline of my calves pressing into the pant fabric, if that makes any sense). Is there a way to have only the thigh portion of the pants taken in?
