Thank you to all you guys who thought my entry was worthy of a win. I can promise, the pics will only get better.
I see this as a "exclusive membership" of sorts, that you can't be "in" until you win the Friday challenge.


@in stitches and all the other regulars who hit style home runs daily. you know i have been playing in these Challenges for nearly 2 years now. it is truly an honor to know that so many of you gave me a thumb of approval. having a combined total of over 48 thumbs on 2 threads? unbelievable.


The pic was so hard to shoot, we were next to an open sewer drain, at 5am. way out of town, Mrs Vader was wearing my spare jacket because she forgot hers. it was sooo hot that morning, and i hadn't slept.. after a few tries, the Camera battery was flat. it really was a lucky picture. I put so much heart into it. - To finally lift the bar and show what i got. but it had to be either the sunset or dawn shadow, on an empty road, out in the country. everything had to be "Right". from the band on her hat (which i made), to the carry bag and walking stick. the foot position, the posture, the silhouette of my trousers. Mrs Vader's tote bag, all of it. I'm so proud that the effort was noticed.
Having the hard earned "Approval" of the most savvy group of stylish men on the internet. for being myself, and rolling in hard with my own style? it is the true reward i have been after.

to cap it off, all i can say is, If Di Caprio ever wins an Oscar? he will know how i feel right now.

I don't think I've ever seen such a definitive win! I went back to look at your entry and it still took me a few looks to realise which was your photo and which was the one with Chaplin.

Well done, TV!! I called it first but to be fair, it wasn't hard to see how great your fit was

Mrs Vader was wearing:
Jacket: Andrew Mackenzie mens single button long jacket.
Hat: A Straw hat i found last week -Black (the band i had sewn the night before the pic)
Tote Bag: MCM
Shoes: unknown Japanese ones
Skirt: An old one she has had for a while.
Her fit was all black, sans the bag and hat band. 60% Thrifted.

Looks even better in color.

I think back to back isn't uncommon as people often choose something they know they can at least be somewhat competitive in. I'd never choose UCBD unless I knew I wasn't participating for example.
