I thought it would be nice to share with one another what celebs we think are good dressers and not just name them but put some pictures of them up in the outfits we like personally thought it may be interesting.... Anything goes actors musicians even designers themselves I will go first and put some pics up in a few minutes.

if you go through all creative types, then these are a few people i find well dressed:

johnny depp
yohji yamamoto
serge gainsbourg
the rolling stones (particularly mick, keith and charlie)

there's more, but the ones i listed above are a particular inspiration to my approach when it comes to getting dressed. their style feels spontaneous and natural, which i think is key. i don't think too much thought should be given to getting dressed...people can shop all they want for what they like, no problem with that. but if it takes more than 5-10 minutes in thinking about how to incorporate a piece into their wardrobe or how they should wear a certain piece, then it's not working. I also don't believe in adhering too much to rules or 'norms' of what looks good, i think by doing so then one's dressing becomes too rigid. If there's one gripe i have with a lot of fashion forums online is this kind of thinking is usually present and it leads to groupthink. But then again, there's nowhere else i can share and discuss my love for clothes, so....

Common, for me, is the best dressed music artist going around.

As previously stated, George Hamilton...

Along the same lines, Warren Beatty...

And possibly, the most comfortable looking man in a suit ever, Cary Grant...

We've done this thread 1000 times already. Lol, How many times can we talk about Fred Astaire and Carey Grant's suits. Grant wore boxy things (IMO) I'd never be caught in and Astaire dressed impeccably but talking about it this many times? Maybe the sack suit is stylish to some though....:p

On that note, african-american celebrities generally know how to dress compared to their white counterparts nowadays. I think it was a rapper named like Neo that had a really awesome suit in Italy the other day. Grey custom made with a really unique lapel and pants that had cut away slits at the ankle to spread the break.

Same goes for Akon and Kanye West. Depp and Orlando Bloom can dress very well. How about The Joker in the new Batman film. Ledger's custom clothes look awesome (RIP).

Sorry for sounding po'ed!

Neo?

OK - just kidding.

I'll agree that we do repeat the same celebs over and over, but there is something to be said for style that is timeless. While you may not like Cary Grant or Fred Astaire, I'd wait to see if Akon or Kanye are still being discussed in the same manner in 30, or even 10, years.

That being said, I do think Diddy dresses quite well and I actually like a lot of the suits from his Sean John line...

I'd kill to have his voice. To those who don't know, he's a fairly accomplished hip hop artist who is trying to make a move to acting, ala Nas. Be is probably my favorite album of this. He's a Chicago native.
