Well everything can be resoled but I'm guessing you mean like Goodyear welted in which case some CP's (boots etc) are gy welted. As far as durability it really depends how much you wear them and what kind of weather and situations you put them in but generally speaking I've found CP's to be surprisingly durable. My oldest pair is 6 years old and there's nothing structurally wrong with them (heel wear is the only legit issue) and I wore them about 3 days/week for almost 4 years.
The leather dye I tried got hard and cracked off the sneaker. I then tried angelus acrylic based paint and it worked wonders on my CP. It scuffs off with wear and washes, but a bottle of it lasts forever and it looks real close to the original finish. Just get a good brush for acrylic painting and it will be all good.anyone ever use angelus leather paint to repair scuffs on white achilles? I'm trying to figure out which one to use (matte, normal, shiny, etc.). Any recommendations?
cool, I tried dye and had the result you described. Did you get the 'normal' paint? Or did you go with matte/shiny/gloss?The leather dye I tried got hard and cracked off the sneaker. If you must have CPs, have you considered these? http://man.totokaelo.com/common-projects/cadet-derby/black/H14619 much less casual than the 2 you posted.
