Cold wash, tumble dry on lowest setting. I think I read somewhere earlier in this thread that the flannels are prone to a shrinkage so I sized the sleeves up a 1/4". Worked out well.
I've had so many bad experiences even tumble drying clothes. 2 pairs of Epaulet pants, one Luxire shirt and one French Connection shirt. Used to be my favorite, before SF. I just don't dry anything worth anything any more.

RIP Luxire Cool White Linen. I only wore you once (damn the ex girlfriend).

I actually like ironing. And washing is as easy, and fast (apart from the time it takes the machine to do the job), as making a cup of coffee.

Quite true. Out of curiosity, how long does it take you to iron your shirts? (Per shirt)

Big ironing person here as well. Usually wash two, maybe three shirts at a time. Ironing likely takes more than 20 minutes, but probably less than 30 for three shirts. Never timed it. I take my time with it, as it's somewhat therapeutic. After ironing I put them on a hanger where they finish drying overnight (I do laundry in the evening)

Ironing shirts and pressing trousers has a calming effect on me. I have my washing routine down to a science.

I use a very gentle washer dryer from miele but i only use the drying function on towels, underwear and bedclothes.

I hate when I don't have a washing maschine in hotel appartments and am forced to use their complimentary (read ******) dry cleaning.

I've probably ranted on this before, but i haven't found a single other profession with such a high percentage of quacks. I get the occassional 3roll 2 jacket turned hard three mistake, but creases in a pair of denim jeans, pressed in with the force of a thousand suns? I'm looking at you Sheraton Guangzhou.

I wash on saturdays, iron and press on sundays. Takes me less than one hour to finish 6-8 shirts, 3 trousers and 3 chinos. Enough time to watch something from my internet dvr, last week it was Spoils of Babylon, hilarious. i'm using both a steam iron and a steam press.

If I'm going to be honest, the shoulders are slightly too big and the sleeves are certainly too long
Took a pic, just for you. Here's the SBSC, after ironing. Same measurements... I just think the pre-ironed flannel has a weird effect on looking bigger than it is.

Ordered 3 Luxire shirts until now; very satisfied overall. But the problem that keeps frustrating me are the diagonal creases from my shoulders towards the top buttons. I think I have square shoulders; Theresa suggested this. An 0.25" decrease in slope did not solve the problem noticeably. Would further decreasing the slope in future orders solve this problem, and how much (1 inch/2 inch)?

It feels like there is just not enough fabric to close the top buttons. Moreover, maybe shoulder pitch should also be adjusted? I think i have slight forwards shoulders. Also thought about yoke, armhole and chest measurements, so I'm kind of lost of what the real problem is. Hope you guys can enlighten me.

For those interested in the fabrics; the first one is the Slubby Chambray (yes, NOBD I collar). It's absolutely my favorite casual shirt, perfect weight and nice buttons. Second is the Denim Chambray. The fabric has a little sheen on it, hope it fades after a few washes. Sturdy fabric, satisfied with it.

Hi all,

I would like to order a shirt with a collar like so:

1000

How would I specify this type of collar to Luxire? I had previously linked a similar image and stated that I wanted a collar like the one pictured. However, the actual collar I received is rather wrinkly, possibly due to no lining? I am not sure of the exact specifications of the collar I received since I did not specify anything beyond directing them to a photo.

Hey all,

Anyone have an opinion on a collar that can be used for work / casual look. I have a luxire linen shirts whose measurements allow it to go both ways but the (standard point) collar just makes it look too work orientated. Suggestions welcome.

Also
1) Anyone had any luck with getting luxire to do some darting on shirts if so how'd you go?
2) Seems like there was a bit of an order of peacoats at one point, anyone got theirs back yet?
