Are y'all usually charged before they ship the order? Placed an order 3 weeks ago and I was charged a couple days ago and it still hasn't shipped

They charge when the start work on the order. I've had it be a day between the charge and getting a shipment notification (for a shirt), and I've had it be a week and a half (for pants).

^ Here's mine that I posted earlier in the thread. This is the blue cotton-linen, with an unlined, mercer style collar.

That can be a challenge. I ordered my chinos with DAKS adjusters and the fit perfect right now. Obviously, if I lose 5lbs, I'll probably need to notch up a button, and if I gain 5lbs then...well...that's not going to happen. If you have pants with the right rise AND waist at least use those measurements as reference, otherwise you really do need to be aware of the size/shape of hips and belly and how it affects your waist measurement at different rise points. I used my best fit pants, but adjusted my waist to -0.5" as they were slightly loose for a DAKS fit. Also remember cotton chino stretch a little bit upon wearing. When I first tired on my chinos I felt the waist was a bit tight, but after a few hours of wear they are perfect. Haven't put them through the wash yet though.

On last thing with DAKS pants, if you are like me and like to hang your pants on hooks between wears rather than on hangers, I suggest you ask Luxire to add a hook loop on the inside of the waistband. Slight oversight as all my other pants have belt loops to hang from.
One other comment on DAKS or any belt free pants and your pants rise. If you are looking for the higher rise look, remember when you wear your DAKS pants belt free your pants silhouette increases by 1-1.5" already without your belt cutting in. I really noticed a big difference in the look the other day wearing my Luxire DAKS chinos. Same measure as a pair of trousers that I wear with a belt, but the visual difference is very noticeable.

My point is if you want to go DAKS (or belt free in general), assume the look will already add 1-1.5" of visual pants rise, so you may not want to add much more in actual pant rise measurement. One way to test is to try your current pants, belt free and pin it if you need if they are not tight enough to hold up without a belt.

So far I am loving my pants! Luxire has really impressed me with their quality and customer service. Pics to follow later today.

Quick question for the experts. Currently, my pants rest about 1.0" below my belly button. If I want to wear them at the same level of the belly button, do I just need to increase the rise by 1.0" and the length of the legs by 1.0"? Would you guys mess with the hip measurement much since the pants will rest 1.0" higher?

Thanks!

Good. I have three linen shirts with the Mercer replica. It suits the fabric perfectly, being light, and rolls nicely.

Great to hear that lachyzee, would you share some photos?

So did your replica had a same fit as the original Mercer? I know one of the common issue people have with Mercer shirts are the full fit.

I am just curious how Mercer's long unlined collar would look on Luxire's custom slim fit shirt, in contrast with Mercer's full fit shirt. Would it look somehow unnatural?

Anyone got their shirts remaked? Do we ship the shirts to New Jersey or India? Shipping to India is like 90USD..

I'm about to pull the trigger on my first pair of luxire trousers (Dugdale linen in navy - I already have a few pieces in Dugdale linen so I feel confident in the cloth choice). Any last minute advice for trouser purchases or discount codes?
Ask for hidden coin pocket under waistband and hidden credit card sleeves inside your pockets. I'm an utilitarian...

You know what, I'm going differ from the group here and say MEH. Not sure what premium these branded fabrics would carry, but I assuming significant. I would much prefer a range of unbranded Sea Island or Egyptian cotton options. From my experience with other MTM shirts there are many great unbranded options of utmost cotton quality.

The real advantage to getting at least some more branded fabrics in stock is knowing exactly what you're ordering in advance (either because you already have shirts made up from a particular line, or have seen/felt swatches from that line in books). It's a nice, reassuring shortcut. Especially for someone like me who can't be bothered to order swatches; knowing exactly what I'm getting just from seeing a name I've seen/felt in person already is certainly worth a markup in my book. The shirts will likely still be cheap in the grand scheme of custom shirts, and at a guess, I suspect they'll still have lots of their even cheaper unbranded options so it's not like it's a zero sum game.
