IrateCustomer, where do you draw the line between luxury and super-luxury? For example, Bentley strikes me as being at the top of the luxury range, with Rolls-Royce on the other side of the divide.


i could be wrong, but i view them as equals for the most part.

Does anybody ever fear that their obsession with style is an addiction.


i wouldnt say it is something i fear.

Bentley is the top end of the Luxury segment, while Rolls Royce would be Super Luxury for example. When you're looking at $185,000 for a Bentley, and $445,000 for a Rolls it starts to become a very different vehicle. I'd say the beginning of the Super Luxury is $300,000. Maybach, a division of Volkswagen, would be included here.

Isn't Maybach a part of Daimler-Benz? Or rather, wasn't it?

You are both correct. Mis-type on my part. If you want to see what separates RR and Maybach from the Luxury Makes watch the video on this page. They just don't make cars like this any more, and I love watching this from time to time. Just awesome.
