I'm far too lazy to photograph these nicely, but here are some pics anyway. These are all custom, except for the Ascot Chang's which are MTM.

These are all Hilditch & Key:

Charvet (a very old one as you can tell):

Funnily enough, I don't like a French front on my Charvet shirts.

A French front and French cuffs on that Charvet - keeping it real.

This has turned out to be my favorite thread on the forum. The recent herd of Geneva shirts, for example, was amazing-- really great collars on those shirts!!

I finally got a chance to see the new shirts I bought from Barneys while in the big City a few weeks back. Excuse my shoddy folding job, had to try them on to ensure the sleeve length alterations came out well. Included some closeups with the ties I plan to wear with the new duds:

Foxx,

I have noticed you spend a fair amount of money on top-notch RTW clothing (Brioni suits, Kiton shirts etc.). Why haven't you gone down the bespoke route? I would imagine the quality and more importantly, the improved fit would be well worth it.

ET--
Three reasons I don't go the bespoke route--
+ I don't live in a place (or visit a place like NYC) enough to do three fittings with a good tailor-- shirts OR suits/ jackets
+ I consider there to be only a handful of tailors that do great bespoke work (i.e. Huntsman and other superb savile row tailors, Caraceni/ Cifonelli, iamMatt's tailor with a presence in London, Brioni bespoke in Milan, etc.). If I can't visit one of the Greats, I've gotta go with Brioni, Oxxford Clothes, and a Zegna piece or two off the rack instead. Hell, I think there are only a few tailors in NYC I would even consider for clothing.
+ visiting tailors from one of the Greats would take nearly a year to complete a garment for me, and the exchange rate on pounds sterling is murdering the dollar like a redcoat gone crazy with a killin passion.

Maybe oneday, I'll take the plunge regardless of the wait, and get a proper A&S grey flannel suit (double breasted!)!

Gotcha. Just a thought on shirts though. You may want to consider this the next time you take a NYC vacation. Visit one of the custom shirtmakers, explain your situation, and they'll have the first shirt in your order ready to try on in a couple of days. Once you've tweaked the fit to your satisfaction, you can order to your hearts content via email.

Agree with you on the suits. Fittings are key.

So I'm taking it that the Geneva shirts are pretty good ones considering I've seen many in this thread???? The local men's store in town gets his stuff made from them and I was thinking of ordering a few. What sort of price range should I be expecting to pay? I'm a kid and he doesn't post prices so I don't want to get ripped off. I have three of them but they were given to me from my dad. I searched but didn't come up with anything what do I need to know to tell the guy when he orders them? Thanks

I don't own any Geneva shirts, but if i did plan to order, I'd find out how to copy EXACTLY the collar of these shirts-- they look great.

I especially like the butcher strip patterns of H&K. Any idea if their Acorn's?

Thank you for the link. The website shows some wonderful creations with taller collar bands and collars. The contrasting fabrics inside collars and cuffs are a great touch; my maker in Toronto does this. And, I'll say this again: most men could do with a taller collar; especially in this day and age of the fleshy neck (me).
