Last night, a Sidecar.

Remy Martin VSOP was playing the part of brandy, Patron Citronge instead of Contrieau and lemon juice. Two dashes of Angostura bitters integrate well with the other flavors even if the original recipe does not call for it.

Hah! Funny, I had one Saturday. I was hoping to find a Mr. Brown actually but the shop only had Boss.

After a long hard day at work, with just a lousy, rainly, gray weather outside,

I'm savoring a bottle of River Horse Tripel Horse. It's a Belgian style ale. It's just got enough of an alcohol kick (10%) to keep me mellow, and the rich mouth feel and sweet finish are just right.

Just returned from Germany. Although I rarely drink beer, I am suddenly on a wheat beer kick. Man, it's good. Tastes of the earth.

Tonight, no doubt, I'll be back to my Sapphire and Tonics though.

I'm having this:

It's decent, but feels heavy. I like their Three Philosophers Ale better.

I've been watching my calories lately, so right now I'm about to pour another glass of Crystal Light raspberry flavor.

But, I've been extra good today, so I might end up enjoying a nice scotch before bed.

Hey!

That's what I'm having now. In a chalice-type glass though.

Last time I visited a friend of mine who lives in this little mountain town I picked up 4 6 packs of it. I can't believe they don't sell it in my city.

I had some of this Ommegang Witte earlier tonight. I liked it. It's really light and crisp, with a nice orange peel finish at the end. Perfect after a heavy dinner. I also found out that the Ommegang brewery is fairly close by. I'll definitely pay them a visit soon. A new favorite in the making.
