Tried it out this morning. Pretty confusing layout. It will take me awhile to figure it out, and I doubt I'll take the time to. I don't see why it is better than facebook, unless you have so much **** you want to hide from people, but maybe you shouldn't be posting these things online anyway.

Yeah but you can't just write on someone's wall. Or message them directly. I think you can email people once that functionality gets linked. It just seems more difficult to talk to people on plus than it does on facebook.
One cool thing is you can share something from right on your gmail page, I like that.

When I click someone's name and then press the Send Email button a box pops up and allows me to send a message. I imagine they'll allow posting to someone's profile once the site launches but I have never posted anything to someone's FB wall so that isn't something I'll be looking forward to The layout however is very similar to FB. Comment streams run down the center of the page, flanked by groups on the left and friend suggestions on the right. Chat windows appear in the bottom-right corner...
