I am searching for one now, but generally speaking, if you get the 5 fitting (normal width), size down 1 full size

I am a size UK11 5 in both the 4444 and 4497 last. I think the 4497 is the roomier last. Could probably get away with a 10.5 6 (wide fitting) in the 4497 rkusmant, when I click on the Custom Trickers Available Now link, I get the special offer page. If we do MTO I would want to get the special offer. It would definitely make the purchase worthwhile

4444 is roomier than 4497 but probably not enough to size down.

ok, I think I may have had the two confused. Regardless, would you still size down 1 full size from your US size? for either last? that was your 2,000th post!

I actually size down 1 whole size from my US Barrie last size.
So 9.5UK in Trickers 4444/4497, 10.5US in Alden Barries/Trubalance, 11US Alden Leydon/Aberdeen.

Here's some quick snaps comparing 4444/4497.
Froswicks and Bourtons are 4444. Acorn Stows are 4497. And a Barrie thrown in too.

Where do you get the brown grain calf ones? Is it stow?
How do you like the Froswick? I'll have mine tomorrow, it'll be my first LW shoes/boots.

Love the Froswicks. I'm so glad that evil Wes Bourne pointed them out.
I'm very tempted to get those black smooth/scotch grain Herring boots too.

The scotch grain Stows are from the Bureau.
They've got orange suede tongues and navy lining.

Am I seeing things or is the 4444 last sleeker than the 4497? The 4497 is slightly more bulbous in my opinion

Nice collection Zippyh, and a big thanks for the sizing info, you reinforced what I believed i.e. one size down from Barrie.

Yeah they are on the 4444 last 5 width (normal). I got these in a UK11 5 and I agree that while they are slightly big, they arent big enough to size down. I am an 11.5 in Trubalance/Barrie and 12 in everything else. Btw, which group buy are you participating in?
