I have had discussions with them about that problem and they have addressed it. Initially it was with the 270 welt but now they have been able get a similar heel cup and outer profile with the 360 welt. the model in the picture I posted is NOS from about six years ago. They are an 11E which is narrower than what i normally get and the gaping, in this case, has more to do with how I'm standing than anything else.

Vintage sea turtle monks. Got them on ebay for a song. Theyre gorgeous even with a layer of dust and scuffs. Havent even been cleaned or polished in this pic yet.

They look to me like EG Asquith on the 888 in Burgundy Antique with a fun polish.

I haven't heard of the 32 last. How does it fit? Looks nice and casual (similar to the C&J 325).

The last on those sea turtle monks is pretty smooth with the picture taken that way. They did not look as good in the original snaps. Great price for something no longer available new and the patina as well.

Here is a similar pair if you are size 12.

EG Asquith on the 888 last. They were burgundy to start with but I painted them dark green before ever wearing them. Recently I got other green (colour) shoes so I changed these back to dark brown which I prefer over burgundy. I aimed to give them a little more patina than EG shoes usually have without overdoing it.
