Material seems like a flannel chalkstripe, which looks fine.
I think you're envious because he's a handsome guy. The suit might not be the best, but it's nowhere as catastrophic as you describe it. Ciao for now.

There is one thing I am aware of: White tie is worn differently in continental Europe (or at least in Austria). Vests are supposed to extend half an inch beyond the jacket (or harmonize with the shirt cuff) and many continental tailors I know would refuse to cut a vest differently.Originally Posted by Sterling Gillette
