Coat lapels are cut to wide.

The waistcoat is poor, the 'V' is set to low for that style of waistcoat. IMO

Not fussed about the bottom button being left buttoned. The notion that the bottom button should be left unbuttoned strikes me as the wrong side of pedantic.

Overall, the suit looks like modified RTW and not a bespoke garment.

Material seems like a flannel chalkstripe, which looks fine.

I think you're envious because he's a handsome guy. The suit might not be the best, but it's nowhere as catastrophic as you describe it. Ciao for now.

You might want to date an ant.

What are you, a 4' something Asian girl?

Don't worry, though. It's always hard the first time around. It gets better with time.

There is one thing I am aware of: White tie is worn differently in continental Europe (or at least in Austria). Vests are supposed to extend half an inch beyond the jacket (or harmonize with the shirt cuff) and many continental tailors I know would refuse to cut a vest differently.

Is this true? I have noticed this, but have thought it is the same as with everyone wearing their jacket sleeves too long, ie. o tempora o mores..
