Got an awesome deal today at the Sak's consolidation sale in Chicago. EG Walpoles (Medallion cap monk) in Antique Chestnut - under $400 incl. tax. They still have a few pair of burgundy Weston loafers for a steal, but I can't find a size that actually fits me

Tarrago (a Spanish brand) makes cream polish in a ridiculous array of colors. Maybe combine that with a neutral wax coat?

Yep, http://www.tarrago.us/.

And believe it or not, I actually once possessed a thing of the fuchsia shoe cream, which I had gotten for a (female) friend.

That would be my best guess; alternating between that an neutral. I think even if Saphir's forest is a little darker it would end up looking pretty nice.
