I was 9 at the time, so I was most likely wearing FUBU and Southpole clothing with Chuck Taylor's. ( I used to wear baggy urban clothes)

Come on, this thread is worthless without pics! I suspect that most people didn't have a digital cam in 2000 (I had just gotten my first one then), thus images are not readily accessible ... but at least try. These are vacation photos (from 2000), but fairly representative of what I wore most of the time. Jeans, sweaters, casual shirts, t-shirts. I worked in the tech industry, so dress didn't matter. Shirt, sweater, jacket and shoes are Banana Republic. Jeans - I only wore 517's.
