Didn't think you could make yourself look more marsupialed after you tell us that chambray shirts are business casual, but at this point you're just trying to save face by lashing out. That's sad because I wasn't trying to make you feel like ****, I was just trying to politely let you know that you were wrong. It's also sad because you're doing this because you got dissed on the internet. Go have a beer and shut the **** up.

Put a condom on your head because if your gonna act like a dick you might as well dress like one.

Calm the **** down, seriously. Just because someone told you you were wrong you start turning to personal attacks? That's the hallmark of a ****** argument right there. The second someone disagreed with you you freaked out.

Chambray is the definition of workwear, hence the term "blue collar".

But anyways, you can definitely wear chambray with jeans, but only with grey and black, imho.

Read Mack's response. They go, but if the color is too close, it gets weird.

Haha come on guys, you gotta give some love to westinghouse. Complete ******* idiots and the people who crush them (such as whodini) are what makes this forum great! All I gotta say about the chambray + jeans is make sure they are not the same colour. Some lighter jeans with a dark chambray is fine, but a dark chambray with crispy new raw denim is going to look awkward

Any chambray that's a common denim color (light or dark) looks like a Texas Tuxedo (or Canadian Tuxedo, depending on where you're from) to me.

Gray chambray, red chambray, etc. - fine.

You do serve at least one useful purpose in life, as a horrible example.

You've got more talent in your little finger...than you have in your big finger.

If there's ever a price on your head, take it.

Wow! This thread has completely amazed me as to how poorly we communicate on a forum that is suppose to educate but then again this is the land of ignorance.

I won't pull rank here but then again I will. Most of the members who subscribe to this part of the forum are, I would presume 17 > 30, I'm 56. Their exposure to chambray has been limited to what is currently and fashionably being presented to them by every Tom, Dick and Harry. This type of chambray, which is coarsely woven best represents itself as a fabric best suited for shirts, jackets, trousers that present well in the casual workwear esthetic.
Now, I'll throw the log into the fire. I own about 20 chambray shirts. I will admit, most are from my buddy Daiki. However, I own quite a few chambray shirts that I consider part of my business casual shirts. The type of chambray fabric that these shirts are made of are tightly woven and have a finer finish. I would go as far as to say they have a luxurious appeal to them. I wear these shirts with my Tweeds, Twills, Donegals etc. They look great with Bow Ties.
So, someone needs to do their homework.

Stop by and see me sometime and I'll show you the difference. Better yet, visit a fine menswear store and ask them to see their custom shirt fabrics because someday you will be a fine man.

And, to answer the original question by the OP. Yes, you can mix but be sure to contrast these fabrics both in color and texture and you should be fine.

A light chambray goes well with dark jeans. But be careful if it's too close together in colour.
