There is a rumor circulating that if there is an answer to be had for my question, I will surely find it here.
May I apologize in advance for a serious lack of descriptive ability. My desperation overrides my pride. Further, I have neither the wit not the patience to post a picture according to the options given, but depending upon the kindness of you, dear readers, may pursue that option.
That being said, I have inherited, as it were, a mid-century looking train case with no markings save on the inside of the latch. It sys EAGLE and has, well, an eagle logo accompanying it. Sort of an icon type eagle, almost Native American in it's appearance. The logo is 'held' between the two upraised wings of said eagle logo..
The case has sort of a herringbone looking exterior, with brown leather trim and handle. In a pottery barn sort of way, it's appealing, but I would like, and have not been able to find, any information about it... Interestingly, a train tag is still attached to it, with the former owners name and a travel service company ad as well. Kitschy if nothing else, but otherwise a standard, mid-century looking train case, 8" ish deep and across, about 11" wide. Brass accouterments, as mentioned.
Though it is not her name on the tag, I of course am hoping it fits the description of Jackie Kennedy's lost train case, (what? you haven't heard of that?
) and as such is worth far more than the rarest vintage Louis Vuitton. Or whatever.
Will not hold my breath, but am hoping EAGLE means something to someone and that someone will kindly share it with me. A million thanks.
