Chanel PM, huh? I'll have to give it a try. I could imagine the ad execs on Mad Men wearing BDP.

Went back to the well today with Terre D'Hermes. Picked up 4 small 5 ml tester bottles today to try out: Drakkar Noir, Davidoff Cool Water, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, and Kiton Men.

As a side not, I've been meaning to try Musc Ravageur for months now and for the life of me cannot find this damn cologne anywhere.

It's only at Barney's or at Frederic Malle. You can get a tester from Paris if you email them. Check their website.

ehm: I've heard it's been reformulated in the past year. Not sure how close it is now and haven't gotten around to checking for myself.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. Explains why I've gotten nowhere in my pursuit.

Tried it not long ago at Barney's. My nose smelled powdered Swiss Miss hot chocolate mix and cinnamon - the drydown, at least.

At least I smell the rests of it today.

I've always wondered about that one, isn't it discontinued? Speaking of, I still scratch my head at the lemming-like behavior of perfumistas to chase wildly after a discontinued scent: if it was all that great in the first place, why didn't you get a bottle while it was in production?

Today: TGQ Cavendish Black. Very, very much a pipe tobacco.

Terre D'Hermes today. Not sure how I feel about this one in cool weather. Hoping it shines a little more in spring/summer as some say it does.

It's hit-or-miss for me at times. I know some other folks quite like it.

Today: John Varvatos, a friendly, easy-wearing scent.
