Read the "Why can't I post a For Sale thread?!!" thread in Buying and Selling.

Mods - edit/delete as you wish, just trying to help. This seems quite useful in SW&D

My Quick Questions:
What does the term "drop" mean?
Are there rules for matching socks? do they go with shoe color, pants color, etc?

The thread title should be changed to Ask a [Men's Tailored Clothing] Question, Get an Answer.

I think braces are more comfortable, however, loops are probably better if you oft take off your jacket.

Hey guys, coming over from SW&D....I figured it would be more appropriate to ask here.

I'm thinking about getting a pair of Allen Edmonds Mcallister wingtips. I will only be wearing with denim.

Can I get something better for the 300$ pricetag?

If not...how is the sizing on these? I measure like 8 1/4 on one of the devices.

Thanks!

Is it acceptable to wear a round crew neck undershirt under a dress shirt when not buttoning the top button? (Some of the undershirt is showing at the neck) ... or must I wear a v-neck or beater where the undershirt is out of view?

It used to be considered as gauche as displaying other kinds of underwear. As the public display of underwear has become more common, so has the display of the undershirt. I wear a v-neck if I am not wearing a tie.

Whats the correct term for pockets on a SC which looks like boxes with flap. I saw them on a RLPL linen SC on gilt. Basically they were rectangular patch pockets with flaps but instead of just a patch stitched on they had sides which folded on themselves. Dont know if I have been able to explain myself but hopefully someone will understand.

Thanks for your help

Like the ones on the jacket in the post below? Those are bellows pockets, flapped as is almost always the case with them.

I think these are you best bet. Some British companies offer some brogues in this range (Grenson, Loake,..). Check pediwear.co.uk
