Carrying a social security card on a daily basis is asking for trouble. At a minimum, one day you will lose your wallet and will have to wait in line at the SSA office for 6 hours to request a new one. However, if you've got one of those cool belt loop chains attached to your wallet, you have nothing to worry about-- disregard the message.

I carry anywhere from 2-3 thousand in cash in my front pocket in a rubber band, you know, small timer stuff. When I have any appreciable sum, I have a pocket revolver in my sock.

I have a black ferragamo bifold with the logo embossed on the outside. Inside I carry my driver's license, school ID, debit card and 2 tim horton's cards (

I think I (or more likely my parents) lost my social security card between 10 and 15 years ago. Why anyone would carry it around is beyond me, but I don't have any reason to go get a new card either. As long as you remember the nine digits, the card doesn't serve any function that I can recall.

Have you ever applied to and got a job? Employers require their newly hired employees to come in with their SS Card.

Where, at McDonalds? I have never had an employer ask me for my SS card. SSN of course, or a driver's license or passport.

Stainless clip, the sterling always tarnishes and bends. Cash, ID, four cards, insurance stuff and business cards.

I still have my original SS card, signed when I was about ten. Always gives me a chuckle when I look at the signature. I'm not sure what a prospective employer might think of my ten year old penmanship.
