Alright. So I've kind of browsed through a lot of this thread. A know wine and not so much about bourbon. I want to build up my bourbon palate and am about to go to the store. What's a good bourbon to start with to learn what a real bourbon should taste like? I'm thinking Maker's but I dunno. Maybe Woodford Reserve?
What's your price range?
< $20, probably Wild Turkey or Jim Beam
< $30, Eagle Rare, Bulleit
< $40, Knob Creek, Noah's Mill, Baker's
< $50, Michter's
< $60, Booker's, anything Van Winkle
< $80, see Piobaire's post
< $100, see Piobaire's post but add 5 years to the age
