Hey kids, Blackbird is doing a 40% off flash for the next 24 hours or so per their twitter account. Code is 'TWITTER'. Everything they have that I'm interested in is still too pricey at 40 off.

You've obviously never tried to buy men's XS clothing! Outside of a brand such as BoO, men's XS in many designer brands is only readily available on-line at a few dealers such as Context and Blackbird. W+H is the brand that I cannot find anywhere else in XS outside of Blackbird. And for many other brands you'll only find an occasional XS piece at a small boutique dealer that has poor selection. When you talk to these small dealers many of them will admit that they only order XS in a few items since they are afraid of having too much inventory that won't sell quickly. It's frustrating and true. I am not lazy and have researched this a lot since I need the smaller sizes. As a result, I often end up having to proxy items from Japan where smaller sizes are more readily available.

E-mail the store and ask. It is common for them to have additional items in the store that are not posted on-line. There's lots of XS stuff available though.

Thanks for the heads up. Not much of real interest because of the markups, but there are some nice finds to be had (i.e. Tanner belts and 3Sixteen denim).

I'm probably in the minority here, but as much as I love the brown Daytons, those black ones have never really jumped out at me.

lol the belts are $88 at blackbird and only $66 at tanner... sure its cheaper at blackbird now with the discount but man a 33% markup!

I am *this* close to pulling the trigger, I love these boots since the firs day that I saw them at Nomad. Then I saw the price, I have been wanting a pair of Ultimate Indy or these boots for a while now.

Context had it marked up to $79. I hadn't even bothered to check out Tanner's Web site. Knowing that, the belts aren't worth jumping all over like I thought they were.

I too was considering the boots, although I am already getting them in brown (my preferred choice). At 40% off it's a pretty good price, but factoring in the current exchange rate and taxes at Canadian customs, it's not much of a discount. Still, if you want the boots in black I don't see them getting much cheaper than this.

I just realized that I can get them from Roden Gray for not much more, I can save myself the hassel of customs by ordering there.

Several times I've learned about something from Blackbirds web site, searched for it elsewhere only to find nobody else stocking size XS. I have then contacted the manufacturer and bought the same item directly from them for about 20% less. Crazy!
