501s are what Teger is wearing? I'm looking for something slimmer.

I'd probably go for the 514 (one step slimmer) but it shouldn't be hard to try them on (most department stores like Nordstroms or Macy's will have all three models, maybe not in white but you can still try the fit and then get them online or whatever) before making your decision

Should have my Levi 514s tomorrow. Sister-in-law is coming to visit and the outlet is right next to her apartment. When I told her I wanted white jeans I had to use your line, Robert. "You did see "Quantum of Solace," right?" Of course, she still made fun. Who cares, so long as she brings the jeans!

FYI on those looking for levi 514's.....apparently they have been discontinued in the white. The only place to get them is Ross, Marshalls, etc. according to Levi's 1800 number.

Will probably get blasted for this but AE has a slim vintage pair of white

http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product...ctId=0117_2515

I happened to try on the white straight leg and they fit pretty well. Was walking by the store while shopping with my wife and they had them in the front window. My main complaint is the slight distressing/wrinkling on the pockets. Do you know if that will become less noticeable with wear? For $30 it is hard to beat, especially without the 514 levi option.

I guess it's hard to tell from the pictures but they don't look too terribly slim in the leg at all, to me. They look like (to me) any mall stores' typically baggy jeans. Maybe I'll actually go into their store and try on a pair. For the price, it would be a great bargain considering how rarely I would wear white denim.

I see that John Varvatos has some off-white jeans in the March '09 issue of Esquire (page 160) for $198. But I can't find them online.

Anyone know where I can find them?
