well, the yoke would make it tricky. Seriously, for the price you would pay a tailor to do that you may as well just buy jeans that fit you.

^^

is it me or do those jeans just look really wide? perhaps i've been so used to wearing a standard 19-21cm hem that every other jean/brand looks huge. what's the new rise measurements anyways?

they look fine for a presoak. After a soak they'll be your standard 47 fit, but you already know that.

yep, these are shrink to fits and I'm also sagging them slightly in the fit pic. If i were to wear it as intended, higher in the waist, these would fit much slimmer and once hot soaked/washed these will fit much much better.

I picked up one of the "new" 501stf's in the khaki flavor color. Went with 34x34 and they fit great. I had 36x32 at first, and those got way too big ("old" ones), and then went with 35x32 ("old" ones), which fit a lot better and got more distinct fades. The 35's still were still pretty loose, so i decided to size down again. Not looking for fades on this (khaki), but i was surprised to find stf's in this color.

yeah, the new 501 is made after the 1947 501. the hips are straighter and I guess the rise might be a tad lower, dont really remember. its nice and the washes are good for the price.

btw, do you know if cinch opened in tokyo just now?

hey HJJ! Just saw your post on sufu about the new LVC collection, thanks for the info! I had quick question do you know if Levis will still have the 67 505 cut this season in deadstock?

looks great but im still having a hard time believing that those are shrink to fit. Looks like they are the "new" 501s but the concept is still not sold on me
