What's your favourite vodka?

I haven't tried Chopin or Vox yet. I prefer GG and Belvedere because they complement mixed drinks quite well, and I find their presence sweet and not overpowering.

K1 I despise... it has an unbelieveably dinstinct flavour that takes over whatever you are doing.

Well, people whine about Grey Goose being a whole lot of marketing... big deal..... it's like $35. Smirnoff, which I firmly do believe (along with other brands like Stoli) is much more coarse, if not more "authentic" vodka.

I have a bottle of Grey Goose in the freezer right now. I think it's better than Belvedere.

It seems like a waste to use good vodka with mixed drinks. I only do shots of Grey Goose.

Well, sometimes I make what I dub "The Most Expensive Screwdriver In The World Of All Time": Grey Goose with freshly-squeezed orange and pineapple juice. The local Central Market has an on-premises juicer and sells freshly squeezed juices for $6-7 per half-gallon.

I feel like Grey Goose is the smoothest to me, but I recently had Chopin, and it was great. However, I've taken the shot of Chopin unchilled, which means I am still slightly unsure which one is better. In my opinion, marketing, hype and everything else aside, they are very good, smooth vodkas. Some people don't like smooth, but I do. Why do both of you prefer Chopin?

I also wonder, GG, Belvedere and Chopin all share remarkably similar packaging.... I wonder if they are at all connected.

Chopin as well.

Belvidere and Chopin are distilled by the same firm in Poland. Belvidere is distilled from grain; Chopin from Strobrawa potatoes. I doubt if they are related to Grey Goose, which is distilled in France (unless a major conglomerate owns them both). Anyway, GG always tasted medicinal to me.

Used to enjoy Smirnoff Black Label, but can't find it anymore.
