From everything I've read and seen in the movies, you were a killer...not a thief.

I think they'd be a little over $1,400! Holy Mother of God, that is the epitome of thrift store finds. The Holy Grail!! Well done!

Congratulations on your find!

BTW: What location are you in that doesn't charge sales tax?

Congratulations on such a spectacular find! Why and how those ended up in a thrift store boggles the mind

Thank you all for your good wishes.

It really does have to be an interesting story as to how $1400+ shoes wind up never being worn and resold for a pittance. Probably not a happy one though.

I have to tell you, when I saw the Lobb name on the trees I kind of panicked. I never looked at another item, picked up the shoes, went to the counter and tried very hard not laugh hysterically when she said that will be $2. It didn't occur to me until a couple of hours later that there might have been other little gems sitting right next to the Lobbs. I went back on my way home, but they were closed. I'll be stopping again in the morning.

No sales tax on clothing and shoes in PA. I'd have gone for the added .14 though.

Lucky, no sales tax is a nice plus.

True. From years back they have not taxed what basicly come down to "the necessities of life". Clothing, shoes, groceries, pharmacuticals and the like are not subject to the 6% sales tax (7% in Philly and Allegheny County). Don't worry though, they get us in plenty of other ways.

Some groceries. A 2 liter bottle of soda has no tax a 20oZ does. No tea has tax.
