Fall is in the air. Happy thrifting everyone!

Great finds!! Are you sure you didn't go back to tonylumpkin's thrift shop?

At any rate, that Kiton suit probably retailed for well more than twice what the Lobbs did, so... as usual, well done sir! [IMG]

Fall is in the air (well, at least here, only figuratively), but the thrifting seems to be heating up!

    Nice finds, pejsek.

Once again, very nice find tonylumpkin. Lobbs are rare enough, but a pair which doesn't appear to have ever seen a foot (even fleetingly) and in a popular size with trees is something else entirely. I agree with the others that there may well be more at the thrift.
Here are a few of my latest finds.
Navy blue micro-herringbone Kiton suit; 3/2 sb w/ twin vents. I found the jacket first, but it took me another thirty minutes or so to find the pants which were priced separately. In my least tolerant moments I hate this sort of lazy behavior on the part of the thrift store staff. But then I remember just how much laziness is our friend. A very useful suit, I suppose, if a bit sedate. The price, however, was right. Let's just say I got back some change from a 10 and a 5.

Ferragamo Tramezza lizard loafers. Well, why not? I actually really like these shoes. They're the first Tramezzas I've seen in person and they do seem to be very nicely made. Classic Florentine split-toe style and the lizard is a nice twist.

Finally, a couple of T&A bespoke shirts. I really like checks. These have the classic three-button cuff and are nicely darted in the back. Dig the pattern matching. As luck would have it they fit great. The first one is Sea Island cotton. $4.25 each.

Now this is what I aspire to. Not just the one time flash in the pan, but truly wonderful finds on a consistent basis. Well done!

with towns like Saratoga, Los Gatos, Cupertino, etc nearby, you better believe San Jose is getting stuff like this.

rich people are like insects, they are everywhere...

I had a dream that I thrifted a custom Versace suit made for Elton John. Purple herringbone with shirt-style lapels and a gold pinstripe. The inseam on the trousers was 41".

Maybe they were for the platform boots?

That wouldn't make his legs longer.

They would if they were bell bottoms and he wore them to the heel.

Got my best ebay buy yet in the mail today. A tweedy 90/10 S120 wool/cashmere blend, nice and soft, with a brown field and light blue windowpanes by Chester Barrie. Nice buttons, nice handwork on the buttonholes, and just about perfect fit. Advertised as NWOT; I don't know that this is true, but nothing about the condition of the jacket suggests otherwise.

    $73, shipped.

Pics as soon as I find my USB cable.

Thrifting has been very slow lately, but today was a little better.

    Picked up:

Mint pair of brown suede Ferragamo chukkas
    Pair of Church's
    Few pairs of AEs
    Zegna by Incotex trousers
Few handfuls of ties incl. a bunch of very recent Versace scarf-prints, Brioni, Charvet, Faconnable (made by Breuer I think), Etro, Ricci, Talbott BOC, Bullock & Jones, etc
Lots of dress shirts (a lot of Zegna, Brioni, Talbott Bespoke, etc)
100% cashmere Saks Fifth Avenue overcoat, camel-colored
