The shop feels the need to differentiate between which suits are and are not made of 100% wool.

I must take issue with one item in the OP, about salesmen in badly tailored suits. I've been in men's stores, as well as the men's dept. at high end dept. stores and have seen sales people in suits that just don't fit. I can usually tell that they are fairly nice suits, but they just weren't tailored properly.

Beg to differ... While the Jos Bank stuff is clearly beater/travel stuff, no question, for their prices these are some of the best values around.

I have been mistaken for him -- well, David Hyde Pierce -- and for Sting ... depending upon how I'm dressed, which pair of sun glasses I'm wearing ... and, of course, my hair style.
