The store has an I-talian sounding name, brands sound I-talian but nothing is made there

Salesman say I-talian

When you walk in and see a huddle of salesmen jabbering

They sell office pants

2 for 1, 3 for 2, or buy x and get y free

The tailor uses pins instead of the chalk bar

The dressing room is communal - eek

The shoe stock is displayed for all to see

You are offered worthless products when you try to pay

It's amazing how you guys do it and still believe yourselves so refined.

Styleforum is a great place to come to learn about brands and quality and options, but it isn't a place to come about actual style. Use the forum for what you can, for some people it's posting in threads about all the new stuff they bought on credit, for others, it's reading about what others bought, learning about these items and investigating based on their own taste.

In response to my comments about suit pockets being sewn shut ...

To quote James Coco as Monsieur Perrier ... Oh, please. (must be said disdainfully and with a fake French accent).

Then to paraphrase Peter Sellers as Sidney Wang ... Comment like television set on honeymoon. Un...necessary.

Some things are quite plainly obvious and need no comment.

You ask the salesman where he got his crappy-looking suit and he says "Men's Wearhouse." This tells you:

A) Even he does not think the suits at the shop are worth buying

and

B) He thinks Men's Wearhouse is a good place to buy suits.

Or you're in and he works for, Men's Wearhouse (whatever that is).
