The more time I spend on SF the more I realize that listening to advice here probably leads to a miserable life. When I go out I let friends try my drinks, I try other people's drinks, I hug and kiss people with reckless abandon, I wear SF unapproved clothing, I talk to strangers, I drink red bull, I do all sorts of things that people on here spend time chastizing while they should be out living life instead of analyzing it.

I spent today hanging out in the middle of big groups of hipsters and douchebags drinking ice cold lager and basking in the sun. It was marvelous and I will do it again. Its better than sitting online with wannabe elitist I-friends whining about the general public.

I may have taken this a bit far.

I'm catching up on reading for my last final... Aristotle's Poetics is a ******* bore. I can't wait for whatever other gems await me in the Norton Anthology...

Had to walk out of a car dealership after about four hours of negotiation because they wouldn't come down another $300. I still can't figure out what kind of an idiot sales manager gives up the sale of an SUV in a deep recession over $300.

I felt kind of good for sticking to my budget, but it was a waste of a weekend day.

Heh, think he's telling people that he can't believe a guy walked on a 60k purchase for $300?

He's probably saying "holy **** some idiot almost bought an SUV today. Haven't sold one of those in a year!"

Haha. Probably. The problem was the fact that he thought he could get me to go over my budget. Within five minutes of walking onto the lot I gave him a number, and I told him I wasn't going any higher, period. I'd be happy to spend less, but no more. The number I left on the table was $300 higher than that number. In reality it was a pretty good deal, but he knew I wasn't spending more than xx,xxx. It's his fault he started negotiating on a vehicle where he couldn't get to my number. To be honest, I suspect I'll get a phone call some time this week offering me the SUV.

If we were desperate for a new vehicle I would have bent, but we were just casually looking for something new for the wife. The car she has now is just fine, so I'm not really motivated to buy something new if the deal isn't perfect.

More than likely, but we left the lot in a perfectly good car. He wasted half an afternoon without making a buck.

High temps here hovering around 90, not expected to break until Wednesday, and our mgmt company won't turn the A/C on. We have to choose between open windows (slight breeze, awful traffic noise) or closed (stagnant air, box fan, less noise). CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE.

alchohol causes the hole that keeps the acid in to relax. also, keep propped up, and avoid high acid foods. google for some of the worst offenders. I cant eat anything tomato sauced after about 1pm, or its bad news. Luckily I got a prescription of Protonix, which is the best I have tried. Woke up one night with the burn (happens about 2x a year that it wakes me up), took a pill and could feel it working before I fell back asleep. but it makes your butt hurt the next day.

If his current gf is a good enough friend of yours, I'd say tell her. It'll hurt, but it'll be better in the end. Better to break up now than get more deeply involved and really have her heart broken. Show her the texts he sent your GF for proof, because she might not believe you.

better yet, have your GF tell his GF. Then he cant be mad at anyone
