That look is the 'rage' purveyed by a few stores here, combined with the Dutch 'idea' of what the Neapolitan look is.. quite quite naff in my eye.

Sciamat... blech.

I wear these a lot in summer, from the same maker (NDC):

Here is Valentino Ricci of Sciamat:

Whether T4 likes or not, it seems to become a hit... I don't really like the extreme roped shoulders but a growing group of people does.

Futhermore, there seems to be a Sciamt RTW and MTM line too. More pics on Sciamat's blog and Frans Boone's blog:

A great summer look here.

I like the suede boots. Are they Church's? I saw the same or a similar boot by Church's at Saks in green, beige, and burgundy.

I saw a pair of off-white bucks at a thrift store.
Made by ROOTS (Canada)
They were virtually new.
I tried them on, and they were extremely comfortable,
however, I felt they looked 'old mannish'. (no offence to anyone)

The ones I say were a saddle styling.
Again, they were almost new (probably long gone now too) but I didn't think they were attractive.

Please forgive my ignorance, I want to learn about this.
Would someone direct me to some link that provides the history of this style of shoe;
why is it a 'good look' for spring/summer and also,
is there an age range that is appropriate for wearing them?

Thank you.

Supergas have been around for yonks....I do remember every Italian student wearing them on holidays..
The second pair of shoes looks like a reject from the Last of the Mohicans...
Even with a more modern design , this look is horrible.

****, where you been Soph?

and I do like those NDC ankle boots. Where's the cheapest place to snag them? $350 is a bit steep at thecorner.
