but honesly the other books proabaly glorify the illegal organzations more than not. but how does gomorra relate to the mafia?

Gomorroh is slang for Camorra which is what they call organized crime in Napoli.

i know, but it not he the mafia nor the Â´ndrangheta they are different forms so to claim that the thye have anythign to do with the mafia is off base

No, it's a play on words: Camorra (Neapolitan mafia) vs. Gomorrah (biblical twin city of sin)

I assume you are attempting to draw some meaningful distinction btwn sicilian (la cosa nostra), calabrian ('ndrangheta) and neapolitan (camorra) organized crime? i'm not sure there is one - they all pretty much do the same stuff...

i am actually sure there meaningful differences between the camorra and Â´ndrangheta. la cosa nostra i really lack any knowldege of them eexcpet form the news sources.

I'm not claiming anything. Mafia is a term that is used in general for organized crime syndicates of many different cultures. Now if I said the Russian Mafia, I wouldn't be implying that the Russians had anything to do with La Cosa Nostra. Not sure where you are going with this.

Aside from some structural differences in hierarchy and geographic locations, all organized crime syndicates are about one thing...making money.

Â´ndrangheta does not really involve itself dealing to the consumer mostly large sales and import into europe.
same with prostitution they mostly move the girls and other people deal with them at the local level.
