BTW, on a semi related note.....the Dry Bones on Self Edge says they are sanforized with minimal shrinkage. the tag on the jeans says "will shrink to tag size after wash", needless to say Self Edge is correct, they are sanforized otherwise there'd be no way I could wear these if they shrank 2" (size 29). I did a cold soak last nite and they didnt shrink more than .5" at waist and inseam

I hope you're sitting in an air conditioned room today - oxford cloth buttoned up to the top, brand new dry jeans and boots sounds pretty warm in this apocalyptic weather we're having.

Are you kidding? I'd bet a few bucks that those are self-faded. If not, one of the most naturalistic washes I've ever seen. I'll give Rye bonus points for dressing like he's going to sweat, which he will. Did I mention that it's crazy hot here? Earthquake weather.

completely. It's a nice 70 degrees in here, then it's about a 3 foot walk to my A/C'd car, and my garage is connected to the house so I will only be in outdoor weather for literally 20 seconds

yea it's been sweltering last few days, and it's supposed to be like 20 degrees cooler by sat with a chance of rain. earthquake weather is spot on

No hate on you Brutus...but whats the appeal with everyone and rolling up jeans or flipping the end over? To avoid staining the shoes? To keep it authentic as possible?

For me at least, it appears to make the person shorter and a bit messy. I always get them hemmed...or and I'm simply missing the personal fashion perspective of it all??!

So it can stain your shoes (my clarks are stained) but I've never rolled because of that. Sometimes I want to show off the selvage line because it's cool, sometimes I'm just not in the mood for stacking or in this case, these IH's are just really freakin' long and I've been too lazy to get them hemmed.

Actually what I think happened today was that the last time I wore these I didn't have any shoes on so I flipped them up to avoid tripping myself. I took them off, hung them up, put them back on today and didn't bother to change where they were at.

Maybe the sleeve roll + the pant roll is a bit much or maybe the fact that they match makes it that much better. Who knows, just go with it if it's what you think works for you.

From the belt south it's not good. The cut of your jeans is atrocious, the fabric is too light for the silhouette allowing them to drape ("NO") plus the surface sheen is ugly. The sneakers I don't understand, they have no point of view and don't compliment any of the other pieces you're wearing.

Why look like a member of the Strokes on top and a Amsterdam drug dealer from the waist down?

Thanks for the constructive criticism. I've only recently started putting a bit of effort into how I dress and I agree my jeans look bad in this picture, I can't seem to find a decent pair of jeans

I would usually have my black doc martens (any better?) on but since I wasn't on my motorbike I wore my sneakers.
