in general - no. Especially if it's the new superfine merino.

However, I think there are some people who can have a reaction even to it. Can you try it on?

I wear fine merino Ts all the time and they never itch; on the other hand some merino sweaters do itch. By this I mean that even if you can't stand some merino sweaters, you may still have no problem with the hat

I have a few merino hats. They don't make my head itch at all. However, they can be really warm (perhaps overly warm).

I carry Bailey of Hollywood hats, they are all made in the USA their Wool hats are superfine merino wools think 150-180's suits very soft hand, but they are all fully lined anyway.

Actually, no merino wool (good stuff, not the crap stuff that some manufacturers have) doesn't itch at all. Hats, socks, shirts or underwear.

Quite possibly my favorite clothing material ever.
