Depending on how casual, either or may work [as others have said]. I'm also a fan of losing the contrast collar. If your gray suit was solid (no stripes) I would say go with it, but I think a contrast collar with a striped suit looks silly. Either of those looks can't fail you though.

They both look great!

I like dress shirt with wide collar so I don't know why people have problem with such issue.

Something about #1 doesn't look right to me. Could be lack of contrast in the outfit or low button stance. It might be OK for the office - but wouldn't wear it to a reception.

#2 looks great,

Either could work fine, but the bland tie in #1 is completely ruining the look. It is really awful.
