Which European cities to vacation around Christmas time?

Wife and kindergarten age daughter want to spend a week in Europe around Christmas. Well, they want Australia but that is a bit far. We have been to Paris, London, Brussels, Brugge, Amsterdam, Geneve, Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice, Munchen, so prefer somewhere new and kid friendly.

My first choice would be munich for the xmas market. Since you have been therw, I'd say prague, nurnburg has a good xmas market, you could do the fairy tale trail or the castle trail, both would be great for a little girl. I took my son to progue at xmas time a few years ago.

Berlin is kid friendly, and has a xmas market, not as good as some others, but the museums are fantstic

I think the german part is really great aty that time of year

Palermo's lovely and warm. And Italians love the kiddies etc etc.
Also Seville was quite nice and warm around then. Xmas markets etc, too.
If not bothered about warmth, I was very impressed with Copenhagen. Quite kid friendly.
Or Glasgow.

+1 on Copenhagen. It's a really beautiful city and at Christmastime the Tivoli park organizes a neat outdoors market.

Being from Sweden, I also feel obliged to plug Stockholm as a nice Christmas town. I honestly believe the city is one of the most beautiful in the world. The people who inhabit it tend to be less pleasant (to each other and other Swedes), but you won't notice that as a tourist. The Skansen park features a more traditional Swedish Christmas market that you might find exotic. Stockholm is obviously further north than Copenhagen, which has both benefits and downsides. The former being proximity to other northern cities (possible excursion opportunities to Helsinki, St. Petersburg, or why not Tallin), and the latter being the cold and darkness of the season--after all, the place is the same latitude as Anchorage, AK.

Thanks to all your responses! I will consider them.. Actually have given thoughts to do an European Delivery with a Bimmer or Volvo to combine a car purchase with the vacation.

Most german towns have a christmas market. They are fun. Strausberg (just across into France, near the Black Forest) is very cool at Christmas time. They have a huge market/nightly event in the main square. Hot chocolate, hot apple cider, etc., etc. And a cool looking cathedral. Not sure what's around there during the day, but if you have one of those cars, damn... you're set.

the Alps, Innsbruck would be a good call. Noone does Christmas like the Germans and Austrians (theyre the guys who introduced the Xmas tree, Santa Claus and Xmas markets)
