perhaps you should quote the post you are responding to. yes. you should.

You correcting me provided nothing useful to the conversation. People on forums like to correct just to do it, even when it does nothing.

Further, The corporate discount doesn't apply to sale items. It does apply to brooks buys though

he's not talking about the corporate sale but the additional 15% off that corporate card members get. And yes, you should have gotten it.
So three posters above are giving conflicting info - does the Corporate Card discount apply to the 3/$179 or not? It is a promotion so I'd like a confirmation that it should be no?

FAIK 15% Corp Discount only applies to regular price items and "Brooks everyday value" items such as 3 dress shirts for $229. When there's a sale corp discount does not apply.

This. The only exception is that the March 20th corporate discount sale will be 30% off Brooks Buys, so shirts will be roughly 3 for $160 at that time.

There are two different cards:
1) Corporate Card (you sign up through a company),
2) Brooks [Credit] Card (you need to apply for this store-branded credit card).

The first card, the corporate card, takes 15% off full-price purchases ANY TIME. About twice a year, there is a corporate sale which doubles the discount to 30%. This card's discount stacks with Brooks Buys (3 for $225 Shirts, $2 for $129 Pants, etc.) but not for any items on sale or clearance.

The second card, the Brooks Card, removes 15% your first Brooks Brothers purchase after you apply for it (I suggest in-store as the online site is wonky). This stacks on ALL purchases but only applies to your first purchase! It works with items on sale or clearance, and I'm not 100% sure but I believe it also works in conjunction with the corporate card discount. If you get the "upgraded" store-branded card, the "Brooks Brothers Platinum Mastercard," the 15% off is applicable for a full month rather than just the first purchase.

The cheapest time to get 3 shirts is during the corporate sales, combining the corporate card double discount (30%) with the Brooks Buys (3 for $225).

The cheapest time to get 4 shirts is during the Post-Christmas Sale (12/26). You get 40% off all four shirts (full-priced), and then there is a kicker that stacks on, which I believe is 20%.

*So theoretically, it is best to buy 4 shirts during the Post-Christmas sale with the kicker because it will cost about as much as 3 shirts during the corporate sale. However, it only happens once a year and stock might be a bit low for some shirts.

Since the two sales above don't use the Brooks Card, if you open one during your purchases, you can add on another 15% off. You may also take advantage of cash-back sites (like Mr. Rebates).

If your company doesn't have a code? You can "brook brothers corporate discount codes" and find several codes to use.
