I'm rarely motivated to do so, but I fired off a tweet to them that will do nothing.
Made me feel better for a nanosecond.

Probably because I'm just a low IQ blue collar cretin but I keep going back, watch an ep and and realize there is not one thing about Succession it that is interesting to me. At least the cowboys in Yellowstone kept me around for a couple seasons before the godawful over the top family drama drove me off.

It isn't that I didn't particularly like any character (fair to say that was at least somewhat be design), I didn't particularly care enough about anybody to dislike them either. They're jaded rich idiots. I get it. That barely carries the day through 38 episodes, much less to the standing of an all time great show for me.

Beyond that, I didn't find the acting to be anything special. Dialogue? Meh.

I wonder if they didn't email me yet because I'm an annual Prime member and they don't want to change the terms of my pre-paid subscription until my renewal date.

I'm annual and I got it.
It says it's coming January 29th, but my renewal isn't until May.

I’m watching Reacher. Seems a bit slow compared to the first season. I’m hoping for a return of Roscoe.

Yep. Jeff Bezos’s new fiancée must have expensive tastes. All that stuff isn’t going to pay for itself. I hate ads so I’m going to pay the extra $3/month even though I would rather not based on principle.

Finished Slow Horses 3. Slightly unbelievable premise but it's so well produced and the characters are compelling so it's easy to go along with it. I'm super excited to see another season that's close to dropping. Looks like it's already been filmed, at least in part.

I thought so as well. I remember reading that Gary Oldman was done after season 3 but the last episode ends with a "coming soon" trailer. It appears to be filmed. I'm guessing they filmed a dozen or so episodes and split the last season into two to keep us suckling off the Apple teat for a few more months.

I've been watching a series of Scottish based crime shows. Annika ( 2021-) Guilt (2019-2023) and Shetland ( 2013-) A lot of the same actors, dreary weather and Scottish humor plus I seemed to have picked up a bit of a burr when I say muurr-duh

Finished Slow Horses 3. Slightly unbelievable premise but it's so well produced and the characters are compelling so it's easy to go along with it. I'm super excited to see another season that's close to dropping. Looks like it's already been filmed, at least in part.

I thought they managed the action sequences in the finale very well.

The brits do things weird--season 1 & 2 were shot back to back, and I believe they did the same for 3 & 4. Obviously there is a lot of post-production to do and they want to space it out for marketing reasons, but 1 & 2 both came out in 2022 so we probably won't be waiting that long.

Yeah, I'm almost positive they did back to back shooting for S3 and S4.

There are 8 books, plus multiple novellas, so there's plenty of source material to keep going. And considering the show seems to be popping up on every "best TV of 2023" list, there's gotta be a lot of corporate interest in continuing as well. But if Oldman isn't interested in staying on, that's probably a death blow. He's the only character I'd consider irreplaceable.
