You guys have probably seen this. I hadn’t. I’m pretty stoked.

I saw a few eps....and also saw House of Lies....which is probably the same thing...except in the consulting space.

I’m guessing that just spoiled about 6 episodes I havent seen. But the show has been pretty meh so far. I dont want to see a decrepit Picard and a weird non-android android developing some long winded show that will end without giving us answers. Give me back the 1 episode short stories that we loved. I had the same problem with Discovery.

The show has an uneven gait, it started off hot, then got a little slow, then picked up again, slowed and then sped up again

Everyone knows that 7 of 9 is in the series so clearly the Borg have to be included. Besides the clip doesn't provide any context so you are ok to view it

Everyone hated 1 episode short stories. That is what almost prematurely killed Enterprise, Deep Space 9 and Voyager. Discovery and Picard have not made that mistake

I started this last night.

Will Arnett stars/writes and ex produces this Neflix series.

He plays an "ex" alcoholic in Venice Beach, CA getting by acting as an AAA counselor, furniture salesman and man riding a bicycle about town. He lives next door to his best friend in the friend's mother's house, his furniture store is in a building owned by his "ex" father in law who wants to sell(he is/was married to Heather Graham's character on the show), and is shagging an AAA member with a nice rack!

Not sure what to think. I believe I am 3 eps in. Nothing special so far. I am going back and forth between this and "On My Block"....see review above.

So far.....2/5.

Binged out on Hunters on Amazon, it was ok, part of the story did have some historical factuality but the ending. F..k Me. You have got to be kidding.

I'm all over the place on Netflix trying to find something really good. I started this Dutch series last night.

The wife of the mouthpiece of the mayor of Amsterdam bumps into an old friend and gets drawn into the high end escort business. She gets pushed into a larger role at the "firm."

Little does she know that there is a major crackdown taking place throughout the city and she may become a target. Little does her husband know that she is in that line of business. Little do they both know that there is a mole in the mayor's office working for the bad guys.

This has been done before. Husband/wife of a politician is not on the straight and narrow and chaos erupts.

I've started 3 new series this week on Netflix....and none have captivated me. I'm only 2-3 eps into this one.

2-2.5/5 so far.

Keep looking, everyone. Keep looking!

I stumbled across American Crime Story: OJ Simpson. Only ten episodes, but it’s about as good as you could expect; no surprise as it won a bunch of awards. Fairly full of decent acting moments, as well as a smattering of, Huh, I didn’t know that... if you were alive and watching in ‘94.

Another surprise: the later seasons of American Horror Story (specifically Cult and Apocalypse) are supposed to be as good as earlier seasons, if you enjoyed them. I really want to see AHS: 1984, but it’s not on Netflix yet. Maybe you can dl it on cable, idk.

I am finding it a real contradiction to be (willingly) at home and isolated, and so trying to find some relaxation at least on Netflix, but then being too anxious to actually sit still and watch for long (and also most often not finding anything very captivating/interesting). I wanted to get more books from the library but it is closed indefinitely. One of my favorite films, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, is now back on NF, and I will watch again but I almost know it verbatim by now, feels a bit like Groundhog Day.... I wish my dog had not passed at Christmas; I miss her terribly now, more than ever.

Where is @venessian with some Netflix recs?
Wow, how weird (...I guess actually not so weird at all...where the hell else would especially we CAers and NYers be but at home locked onto a computer, book, television?...)! I was literally writing as you posted that!

As above, I too am scouring NF but not coming up with much, and feel my patience/relaxation/attention span dwindling. It is frustrating.

Hang in there and take care all you can, ter, of yourself and others around you, and of course all the rest of you, every one.

Yeah man. It was said more of a joke as I am also having trouble finding something that I can watch for 2-4 days straight w/o switching/losing interest.

I never saw TTSS. Started it once(maybe 5 min in) and went on to do something else. Maybe I will give that a try later.
