might go see jack reacher tonight.

I saw it tonight and have mixed feelings about it. I have enjoyed the Jack Reacher character more than the story lines in Lee Child's books. The lifestyle and thought process of Reacher is more interesting than the Huge Evil Conspiracies that he always seems to run across. Tom Cruise is miscast playing a character who is huge and physically intimidating.

Plot holes and general head-scratchers abound. WTF is the deal with Duvall's shooting ability? Then Reacher makes an Enemy at the Gates type shot. If you have not seen EATG, suffice it to say that the shot was all but impossible.

And maybe I missed something but:
Look at the thumbnail of the guy who put the quarter in the meter. Then look at the thumbnail of the guy being interviewed by the cops. Same guy. Later we saw the quarter being put on his thumb to get the print in place. So what sense does it make to show a close up of the innocent set up guy's thumb putting the quarter in the meter? Are we to believe that the actual shooter had the exact same injury to his thumb?

just saw jack reacher. loved it. good action, good story line. whats not to like.

in most hollywood action movies these days, i find they make the good guy to be the baddest ass fighter who cant be beat. and then right when he has the bad guy in his hands, he gets all emotional or something, usually about a girl, and the bad guy gets away.

then the bad guy almost kills this supposedly un-defeat-able hero. then the hero miraculously saves himself because the bad guy doesnt kill him, because he is too busy trying to decide on the most devious way evar to do so. then the good guy sometimes kills the bad guy, but most times he sends him to jail. LAME.

not in this movie.

Flight was just ok. Honestly, after all the hype he'd been getting I expected his performance to be earth shattering. It was good, but I've seen better so far this year. That chick in the opening sequence though......

Spoilers. Dont care. M

Werner Herzog as the bad guy in Jack Reacher nearly made me piss myself. Only 30% because I was really drunk but at least 70% because he's the perfect bad guy.

saw django unchained, yesterday. effing amazing. just awesome.

QT did a hell of a job all around, especially the music and a lot of the filming shots/angles. jamie fox and leo dicaprio were great, and of course christoph waltz was superb. hell of a movie.

I just saw "Django Unchained" and strongly disliked it. The comedic violence and incessant use of the dreaded "N-word" got old awfully fast. For all the action in the movie, I found it tedious and actually boring after awhile. Seeing guys getting shot in the balls and rolling around screaming "Oh, ****!" gets old very quickly, at least to me. I'd give it a D or maybe a D+ if I were in a charitable mood. At least I was consoled by having gone to an early show, so it only cost me $6.

Like you I thought the movie was awful on several levels.

Im curious if you know whether mandingo fighting is a complete fiction.

This is the December release that I am most excited about. Tell me you hated Inglourious Basterds so I can think we just have different tastes in movies.
