What belt style and colour suit these brown boat shoes? wearing denim jeans, chinos and cargos

So i recently bought these pair of brown boat shoes:

But i now need a belt to wear with these when wearing denim jeans, chinos or cargos,
But have read conflicting views on how to pick a belt,
some say match the shoes and belt colour while others say they shouldnt be the same but slightly different/ different shade of dark brown


Also what type of leather - a smooth leather or a plaited leather like this:

For a jeans belt, I would go with:

I don't much care for the belt you have listed, but I have nothing really against it either. I almost always prefer a darker shade of brown, especially when the shoes are also a dark shade.
