Okay, I think that’s a fair compromise.

Now that we're on this tangent about alcohol... it is definitely a regional/cultural thing.

In Hong Kong, there was no age limit for drinking until 2018. And honestly, I don't think it was a societal issue. It could be bought anywhere by anyone. I think the major vice for Asians is gambling.

In my province, the age is 19 but alcohol is a serious issue, especially drinking and driving. Though strictly controlled by a government agency, people still go crazy. A recent statistic indicated 20% of individual consumers (not businesses or restaurants) bought 60% of the alcohol here.

Anyways, back to shoes.

I just received a bunch of vintage Florsheim shoe bags and trees. Pics to come.

Picked up some vintage summer shoes....

Nice. I saw a pair of those in light brown on eBay last week. They sold for $25. I should have grabbed them.

It's a flavor quoted above. No one seems to be able to tell me what it is though!
Got the ingredient list right here. Start with 151 rum, brandy and did I mention it's a drive-thru? Now back to shoes.

Was it Hanover that made shoes for Sears? I have a pair coming in that looks pretty decent quality, complete with vcleat.

Yes they did. Hanover must have had a lot of unused shoemaking capacity at various times. Here's a pair; there's no diminution in quality from some mainline Hanover or Bostonian-branded pairs that I own. Thrifted these at a store run by a small local charity, and it was the best $6 I ever spent. Even managed to stretch them from the 12 D they're marked as to 13 D. Will wonders never cease?

I know that some of you are vintage watch fans, too. I found this in a box of costume jewelry that someone gave to Mrs. Nealjpage. I'm gonna clean it up and order a battery for it. What sort of watch band would this have had originally?

There was a famous quiz program in the 60s/70s on Aussie TV and a Bulova Acutron watch was one of the big prizes.

Howabout the drive-thru daiquiri tradition in Louisiana? I've never been, but when I get there I'm going to go see what that's all about, as a passenger. Seem to be quite a thing down there.

So tell me please, as I'm non American person, what you gonna do with 1 galon White Russian (for example) drink? While driving your car? FFS, 1 falon is almost 4 liter! What the hell is wrong with those Louisiana people???

Black vintage AE Strands from 1988: yea or nay? Phat or whack? Bad or bad? I only own two pairs of black shoes. I could spice these up by sanding the edges and slapping some colored laces on them (like I did with my 92604s).

They're not polished cobbler, so they'd be a well built shoe! (I know the PC of that era is still actually nicer than most)
