I have a feeling I'm going to end up with Viberg 12s, but I have my fingers crossed. I suppose at the price I got them at, I could make even make a small profit if I had to resell them. Or I can just return them and give them feedback about the confusing size description.

If you end up with 12s and I have 11s I’ll return mine and buy yours…

Wonder what happened to lead to a retailer like Mr Porter selling Vibergs at half off ?

either way Mr. Porter doesn’t give two ***** about the brands they sell, so dropping the hammer deep on clearance doesn’t bug them at all.

Oh for sure, I like Mr Porter and their Mr P brand, but they are definitely in the “Jacked up prices but big ‘sales’” category of retailer. Their margins and business model is obviously different than a smaller retailer like yours, for sure. Still pretty rare to see them that heavily on sale.

Kafka hit 50% off when they dropped Viberg and 3sixteen was 40 when they did that sale, but I don't know if we have confirmation on them actually dropping Viberg yet.

Also shoutout to DR and S&S for keeping 2040 last alive in the wake of 3sixteen maybe probably exiting

Unless marked final sale, for stuff on deep discount at Mr Porter, just order it and ask questions later. At worst you’ll just have the minor hassle of doing a return.

Unsure yet if Mr Porter is closing out Vibergs. If you search on the GYW Reddit for “Mr. Porter” you’ll see posts each year for the last few years alerting folks to 50-60% off Vibergs on Mr. P.

Outside in the sunlight it’s navy. Indoors though they’re way dark. But they are super oiled. Much more oilier than my tobacco chamois I bought last month. Horween definitely gave these a second coat of neatsfoot.
