Brown and Black Waxed Flesh. The brown pair is almost two years old. I wore them practically every other day for the first six months.

Is there a reason why the scout is [typically] built on GYW and not stitchdown?
I think up until recently I'd only seen stichdown. I keep reading that they'llll only do gyw now but not sure where that can from.

that’s how I understood it too. It’s just to streamline the factory.

When I ordered a Scout boot through a MTO event Guy at Viberg mentioned the Scout pattern was physically harder to execute in stitch down vs GYW. He also mentioned the scout boot was one of the only patterns that still uses metal dies to click the leather. If you look at the 105 Logger boot, the boot the scout pattern is based off of, it's a nail down boot. My total guess is that there's some finicky work to adapt the pattern to stitch down and in my mind naildown is easier to adapt to GYW vs Stitchdown

I love waxed flesh and I'm not sure why there are so few retailers running makeups with it now. Been on the hunt for a brown or natural cap toe service boot on 2030 for some time now.

Yeah currently I can’t think of any stockists other than in China or Korea who are carrying any 2030 waxed flesh make ups. For such a popular leather there aren’t many options from Viberg out there. Odd since their makeup made the leather super popular.

I was surprised there was no shell special makeup at the 3Sixteen event this year.

Was there one in NY? I know Lost & Found had one.

Got my black camel MTO in today. Only took about five minutes.

Just FYI - Guy said that the natural camel Division Road boots is from Guidi and that the black they have now is Maryam.
