What do you think about ventless DB sport coat ? i bought a db corneliani navy sport coat on ebay. haven't paid yet but just noticed that it has no vents.. it was a good deal(101$), but i guess the model is old, corneliani vogue.. do you think that i should ask the seller to cancel it or take it... how is look of ventless jackets ? i searched a little and found that most concern is about practicality, an issue that does not matter a lot. my main concern is about look. thanks for advices.

For a DB it is traditional if I remember correctly. It depends how you feel in it, of course.

Correct. Ventless anything is frowned upon by the consensus of SF but I like the look and while it may not be the current trend, it is a classic look especially on a DB.

It's funny how out of style they are considered now when compared to how omnipresent they were in the past.

They're out of fashion now -- but so what?

Two or zero are better than one.

Only caveat is that with ventless, butt fit is especially important. Be sure you look good from all angles.

+1. A DB sports coat needs double vents. Ventless on a suit will still look dated but it's more acceptable. But what really dates a DB coat is the button arrangement. 6x2 and 4x2 are most classic. 6x1 and 4x1 will look dated. 4x1 can look okay if the buttons are high enough, but I haven't seen proper examples of that made since the 70s.
