I got 30 yards of Oxford shirting from Philips Boyne, but I don't have a picture yet. Not sure if that counts. It's enough for 12 shirts for me -- a decent supply. Only about $5/yard shipped in that quantity.

I find the Smith's #2546 11-12oz gray flannel to be an excellent lighter woolen flannel. It feels very light and doesn't wear too hot. If I ever get another flannel suit I'll likely get one from that same book in the same weight.

Check out LP flannel cashmere (90/10). Warm enough to wear in the coldest of NY winters, but light enough for low 70's...and it has that flannel look.

I'm having some made into trousers in a VERY light brown...can't WAIT

This will be made up as a single-breasted, 3r2 with ticket and flapped pocket. Depending on the excess material, I'll either get a second pair of pants or a waistcoat (no lapels).

Grey worsted flannelish wool:

This will be a double-breasted 6x2 with ticket and flapped pockets.

Bump - Am finally closer to getting these made up but am rethinking my original plans. Will probably stick with the configuration for each re: SB vs DB but am thinking patch pockets on both.

Please convince me of my folly. I should note that these are going to be my 'standard' navy and grey suits.

Patch on the herringbone seems like it would work very well. I'd probably stick with flap pockets for the gray to keep the formality.

These are conservative business dress cloths - I'd do flaps on all. Ticket if it's your preference, but I'd pass on that.

Save the jaunty insouciancy (I'll check these later in the dictionary) for suits after these two. Make these boring.

Edit: never mind, and insouciance.
