Always had Golovkin - Jacobs as a 50/50 so didn't get too carried away with the fact that Jacobs did well, which I feel the (English) commentary team fell prey to. Danny did well but I don't think well enough to take the titles. In fairness and to his credit, GGG's more realistic about himself than a lot of the media is. Chocolito's fight was outstanding.

Jab was the diff in the fight for GGG. Really surprised how he backed Jacobs up with that jab.

Jacobs had his spurts, but wasn't consistent enough with them. When he rattled off those quick combos, it felt like he was motivating himself with all his gesticulating.

Want to say you can't win a championship backing up like Jacobs did, but what do I know. Andre Ward just beat Kovalev going back and Mayweather won all those bouts.

Kind of a boring fight, so I DONT want to see a rematch of this.

I agree with this ^^ analysis for the most part. GGG did back Jacobs up with his jab. Should have been the other way around(in theory!) I felt that overall, Jacobs was more successful when he turned southpaw. At first, I was shaking my head when he did, but that started to throw GGG off midway through the fight. He just wasn't consistent enough to win this fight IMO. He waited when he should have pressed more IMO. Easier said than done vs GGG.

Rematch is DEFINITELY not needed. If Canelo beats Jr, that is the fight that needs to be made. De La Hoya needs to stop with the BS and get it done. Even if GGG is successful there, I don't want to see GGG v Jacobs again.

Good atmosphere at MSG....not great. The GGG fans were out in force. Everywhere I turned I saw people wearing the GGG hats that they were selling. The flags of his home country were everywhere. Loads of families in the crowd rooting for GGG. I saw more younger children at this fight than I ever saw at previous fights.

A Canelo v GGG fight would take the crowd/atmosphere to another level. Jacobs doesn't have the following that matches GGG. The crowd seemed really bored until midway through the Chocolatito fight when they started to show GGG and Jacobs warming up. Don't get me wrong, there was action in both the Chocolatito and Cuadras fights and the crowds responded, but everyone was there to see GGG. GGG fans are "respectful" fans. They don't bring the raucous intensity as other fans do IMO.

I will definitely watch the replay.

Not excited about it....but if it happens, I would look forward to PBF knocking McGregor out and shutting him up!

it's funny that there aren't moe Jacobs fans there considering he's from NY

NY/Brooklyn is a huge Russian town. Brighton Beach in Brooklyn is a huge Russian enclave and those fans showed up in force last night. Same with parts of Queens.

Jacobs never drew serious NY fans IMO. As someone who lives here, he isn't a household name at all. Serious fight fans know him. Casual fans? Nope. They won't pay to go see him and root for him just because he is from NY.

Plus he appears a nice guy, beat cancer and is an extremely good boxer. Yes, odd indeed.

While all that is true, he never had the "connection" to NY/Brooklyn as others have had in the past.

Not even sure about that.
However, the person who called PBF v Pac before it was official(I posted about that the morning it was announced) said that PBF v McGregor is a done deal. Mid Sept in Vegas.
This is gonna be a bigger fight than PBF v Pac! I am def gonna try to go out there...being that I have never been to Vegas and always wanted to go for a fight wknd.
